It contains fluticasone, an inhaled corticosteroid, and salmeterol, a long-acting bronchodilator. Use it as prescribed, following the inhaler technique shown by your doctor or pharmacist, and rinse your mouth with water after each use. Continue using it regularly, even when you feel well, and do not stop suddenly without your doctor's advice.
Avoiding known triggers such as smoke, dust, cold air and strong smells helps reduce flare-ups alongside this medicine. Keep a fast-acting reliever inhaler on hand for sudden symptoms, as this inhaler is not meant for immediate relief.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have tuberculosis, a chest infection, heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, or glaucoma or cataracts. Report worsening breathlessness or wheezing to your doctor promptly.
