CompositionSilodal 8 Capsule is used to relieve the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH) in men, such as difficulty starting to urinate, a weak stream, frequent urination and waking at night to pass urine.
It contains silodosin, an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine.
Take it after food as prescribed, and get up slowly from sitting or lying to reduce dizziness.
Tell your doctor about any planned cataract or glaucoma eye surgery before starting, as this medicine can affect the procedure. Retrograde ejaculation, where semen passes into the bladder, is a common but reversible effect.
