CompositionSilodal 8 Capsule is used to relieve the urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH) in men. It is a single-ingredient alpha-blocker medicine containing silodosin.
This medicine helps with symptoms such as difficulty starting to urinate, a weak stream, frequent urination and waking at night to pass urine. Take it after food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down to reduce dizziness.
Reducing fluids in the evening, cutting down on caffeine and alcohol, and not holding urine for long periods can help ease urinary symptoms alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any planned cataract or glaucoma eye surgery, as this medicine can affect the procedure, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Retrograde ejaculation, where semen passes into the bladder, is common and reversible. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
