SolvinCold DS Syrup is used for the following health conditions:

• Managing symptoms associated with the common cold

• Reducing discomfort due to flu

• Alleviating symptoms of allergic rhinitis, a condition where the inside of the nose becomes inflamed due to allergens such as dust or pollen

• Providing relief from upper respiratory allergies, which can cause sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes

• Helping manage nasal congestion, a common symptom in various respiratory disorders

• Reducing minor aches and pains that can occur due to a variety of reasons

• Providing relief from fever, a common symptom in many illnesses

To administer SolvinCold DS Syrup to your child, follow these steps:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the provided measuring cup or spoon to measure the exact dose.

• Ensure you give the medicine with or without food as per your doctor's advice.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.

SolvinCold DS Syrup is given orally.

SolvinCold DS Syrup contains three active ingredients which work together to manage cold and flu symptoms:

• Paracetamol (250 mg): This analgesic/antipyretic works in the central nervous system – it increases the pain threshold by blocking two enzymes involved in pain-causing prostaglandin synthesis. It also helps reduce fever through its action on the heat-regulating centre in the brain.

• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (5 mg): As a nasal decongestant, it acts on certain receptors in your body to reduce swelling of nasal mucous membranes thus decreasing nasal congestion.

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg): This antihistamine reduces the effects of histamine - a molecule in the body that causes symptoms such as a runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.

• Store SolvinCold DS Syrup below 30°C in a dry place.

• Keep it away from direct light to maintain its efficacy.

• Always ensure the cap is tightly sealed to avoid exposure to air.

• Keep this medicine high up and out of sight and reach of children.

• Not to be refrigerated.

• To help manage your child's common cold or flu symptoms, encourage them to stay well-hydrated. Drinking plenty of water can soothe a sore throat and thin mucus, aiding recovery.

• Ensure your child has a balanced diet rich in vitamins C and E. These nutrients boost the immune system, helping fight off viral infections like the common cold or flu.
