Take it as prescribed, with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, take it with milk or a light meal. Swallow it whole and do not crush or chew it. Continue taking it as prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly without consulting your doctor.
Managing diet and stress can help prevent spasm-related pain. Eat smaller, more frequent meals; avoid heavy, fatty, and spicy foods; eat slowly and chew food properly; drink adequate water; manage stress through relaxation techniques such as deep breathing; and apply gentle heat to the abdomen if spasms occur.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, heart disease, liver or kidney problems, or are taking other medicines. Inform your doctor if you experience dry mouth, constipation, rapid heartbeat, or urinary retention. This medicine may cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
