Stator F 10/160 Tablet is used to manage mixed dyslipidaemia and high triglycerides in adults when a single medicine is not enough, reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. It combines atorvastatin with fenofibrate.
Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver needed to make cholesterol, lowering harmful LDL cholesterol, while fenofibrate primarily lowers triglycerides and can raise protective HDL cholesterol, together giving broader control of blood fat levels.
Take this tablet as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if your cholesterol levels improve, since ongoing treatment is usually needed for lasting benefit.
Tell your doctor if you notice unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, as the combination of a statin and a fibrate increases the risk of a serious muscle problem needing urgent review. This medicine is not suitable in pregnancy, and your doctor may check your liver function periodically during treatment.
