Storvas CV 20 Capsule is used for the following:

• Lowering high cholesterol levels in patients with primary hyperlipidemia and mixed dyslipidemia.

• Increasing good cholesterol levels in these patients.

• Assisting in the management of homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetics-based condition causing high cholesterol levels.

• Lowering the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with coronary heart disease, diabetes, peripheral arterial disease or a history of stroke.

• Reducing the occurrence of atherosclerotic events in patients having had a recent stroke, myocardial infarction (heart attack), or established peripheral arterial disease.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not break, crush, or chew the capsule.

• Always take your medicine as directed by your doctor.

Storvas CV 20 Capsule is taken orally.

Storvas CV 20 Capsule contains two active ingredients that work in tandem:

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): This component is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, also known as a 'statin'. It works by blocking a specific enzyme required for the body to produce cholesterol. This leads to a reduction in the amount of cholesterol produced by the liver.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): As an antiplatelet agent, clopidogrel works by irreversibly inhibiting the binding of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to its platelet receptor. This action prevents the activation of glycoprotein GPIIb/IIIa complex leading to inhibited platelet aggregation. In simpler terms, it prevents the formation of blood clots.
