Syntran SB Capsule is used to treat stubborn skin fungal infections and some serious fungal infections of the lungs and other organs in adults.

• Fungal Skin Infections: Treats widespread or stubborn ringworm, jock itch and athlete's foot.
• Serious Systemic Fungal Infections: Treats blastomycosis, histoplasmosis and aspergillosis when other treatments are unsuitable.

• Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not chew or crush it.

Syntran SB 65 Capsule contains itraconazole (65 mg). Here's how it works:

• Lanosterol 14α-demethylase inhibition: Itraconazole targets an enzyme called lanosterol 14α-demethylase, essential for creating ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane.

• Ergosterol Depletion: By inhibiting lanosterol 14α-demethylase, the medicine disrupts ergosterol production, leading to a deficiency in the fungal cell membrane. This compromises the structure and function of the cell membrane.

• Accumulation of 14α-methylsterols: Along with disrupting ergosterol production, this medicine causes a buildup of 14α-methylsterols in the fungal cells, further damaging the cell membrane. This activity is generally fungistatic (inhibiting fungal growth), but can become fungicidal (killing fungi) at higher concentrations.

• Keep Syntran SB 65 Capsule at a cool temperature between 15°C to 30°C.
