Tacroz Forte Ointment 20Gm

Tacroz Forte Ointment is used to manage moderate to severe eczema (atopic dermatitis) in adults and adolescents aged 16 years or older, easing flare-ups by reducing redness, itching and skin irritation.

Uses of Tacroz Forte Ointment are:

• Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema): Reduces redness, itching and inflammation of the skin.
• Flare-Up Management: Helps control flare-ups when other topical treatments have not worked well.
• Alternative to Steroid Creams: Suitable when corticosteroid creams cause unwanted effects.

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Tacroz Forte Ointment is applied topically.

Tacroz Forte Ointment contains tacrolimus (0.1 %), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Inhibiting T-cell activation: Tacrolimus works by blocking a particular enzyme in your body called calcineurin phosphatase. This enzyme plays a significant role in activating T-cells, which are a key component of your immune system.

• Reducing Inflammation: By inhibiting T-cell activation, tacrolimus effectively manages the immune response that triggers symptoms of eczema such as redness, itching and skin lesions.

• Suppressing Production of Inflammatory Cytokines: Tacrolimus also disrupts the production of inflammatory cytokines like interleukin-2 by preventing their transcription factor from functioning properly. These cytokines are substances that can cause inflammation and other immune responses, so suppressing them helps manage eczema symptoms.

• Store Tacroz Forte Ointment at room temperature, below 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct heat, light and moisture.

• Do not refrigerate the ointment.
