Tazact 4.5 GM Injection contains two active ingredients that work together to manage bacterial infections:

• Piperacillin (4000 mg): This broad-spectrum antibiotic works by inhibiting septum formation and cell wall synthesis in susceptible bacteria. By doing so, it stops the bacteria from growing and multiplying, thereby helping your body fight off the infection.

• Tazobactam (500 mg): Tazobactam acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Beta-lactamase enzymes in certain bacteria can inactivate piperacillin. Tazobactam prevents this by binding irreversibly to these enzymes, thus extending the antibiotic spectrum of piperacillin against beta-lactamase producing bacteria that would otherwise be resistant.
