Telmavas-H Tablet is a combination medicine containing telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Reducing salt and saturated fat in your diet, maintaining a healthy weight, staying physically active and limiting alcohol all support better blood pressure control alongside this medicine. Drinking enough water is important too, as this medicine increases urine output.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, diabetes, gout, low blood pressure, or are taking other medicines. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Regular blood tests may be needed to check your kidney function and salt levels.
