• Hypertension or high blood pressure

• Minimising the risk of stroke in high-risk individuals

• Prevention of heart attacks in susceptible patients

• Reducing the chances of cardiovascular-related mortality in individuals aged 55 years and above who are at high risk of major cardiovascular events and cannot take ACE inhibitors.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• You can take it with or without food.

Telsar Beta 25 Tablet is taken orally.

Telsar Beta 25 Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Metoprolol Succinate (25 mg): This is a beta-blocker that works by blocking beta-1 adrenergic receptors located in your heart and blood vessels. By doing this, it slows down your heartbeat and reduces the force with which your heart pumps blood around your body. This effectively lowers your blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It functions by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II which usually causes your blood vessels to narrow. When telmisartan prevents this action, it allows your blood vessels to relax and widen, thereby contributing to the reduction of your blood pressure.

• Store your Telsar Beta 25 Tablet at room temperature, ideally not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep it in a place protected from light and moisture.

• Do not expose the tablet to excessive heat.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to use the tablet before its expiry date for best results.
