About Tenovate M Cream

Tenovate M Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as ringworm, jock itch and athlete's foot, that are accompanied by marked redness, swelling and itching. It is a combination medicine containing clobetasol propionate, a very strong corticosteroid (steroid), and miconazole, an antifungal.

This medicine is also used for candida (yeast) skin infections with inflammation. The antifungal treats the infection while the steroid reduces redness and itching. Apply a thin layer only to the affected area as directed by your doctor, and use it only for the short time prescribed, usually no longer than 2 weeks.

Keeping the area clean and dry, wearing loose cotton clothing and not sharing towels can help prevent the infection spreading or returning.

This cream is for use on the skin only. As it contains a very strong steroid, do not use it on the face, groin, underarms or large areas, or under airtight dressings, unless your doctor advises, and use it with great care in children. Before using it, tell your doctor if you have acne, rosacea or a viral skin infection, and about other medicines you use, especially blood thinners.
