Tofza Tablet is used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in adults who have not responded well to, or cannot tolerate, methotrexate. It also helps manage active psoriatic arthritis, moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis, and active ankylosing spondylitis, easing joint pain, swelling and stiffness.
It contains tofacitinib, a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor, and may be used alone or together with methotrexate. Take it by mouth as prescribed. Continue taking it even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly can allow the underlying condition to flare up again.
Keeping joints gently mobile with regular, doctor-approved exercise, maintaining a healthy weight to reduce joint strain, and attending all routine blood test appointments help support treatment with this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have any current infection, a history of blood clots, liver problems, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, before starting this medicine. Report any unusual bruising or bleeding, sudden leg swelling or breathlessness, severe stomach pain, or yellowing of the skin or eyes immediately.
