Tolpa-D Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat acute pain, swelling, and localised inflammation. It is prescribed to manage symptoms of various painful conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, dental pain, backache, and painful menstrual cramps.
It contains diclofenac and serratiopeptidase. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts by blocking specific chemical messengers that trigger pain and inflammation, while serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that breaks down proteins at the site of inflammation to help reduce swelling.
Implementing appropriate dietary and physical habits can support your recovery from acute pain and soft-tissue swelling. This includes avoiding excessive physical strain on the affected areas and following all clinical guidelines provided by your healthcare professional.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, blood clotting disorders, asthma, or liver or kidney disease. It is not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless explicitly recommended by your doctor. Continue taking it for the duration advised by your doctor.
