Tordex-LS Syrup is used in the treatment of productive cough related to bronchopulmonary disorders, working to clear airway blocks and ease the work of breathing.

Uses of Tordex-LS Syrup are:

• Mucus Thinning: Breaks down thick and sticky phlegm structure, converting it into a fluid form that is easier to expel.
• Bronchial Dilation: Relaxes the smooth muscles of the lungs, opening up the airways to relieve wheezing and shortness of breath.
• Cough Clearance: Enhances the natural movement of the respiratory tract lining to quickly flush out accumulated trapped secretions.

Here’s how you should take Tordex-LS Syrup:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

Tordex-LS Syrup is taken orally.

Tordex-LS Syrup contains three active ingredients that work together to manage symptoms of respiratory conditions:

• Ambroxol (30 mg): This mucolytic agent works by breaking down complex mucopolysaccharides in the airways. In simpler terms, it thins and loosens mucus, making it less sticky and easier to cough out. Ambroxol also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.  

• Levosalbutamol (1 mg): This ingredient is a selective beta2-adrenergic agonist. Basically, it relaxes the smooth muscles lining your airways from the windpipe to the smallest bronchioles. This leads to bronchodilation, or widening of the airways, which relieves bronchospasm, a sudden constriction of the muscles in the walls of the bronchioles. Levosalbutamol is more potent and acts longer compared to its racemic version, salbutamol.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg): Known as an expectorant, guaifenesin increases the volume and reduces the thickness of respiratory tract secretions by stimulating mucus secretion. This action helps lubricate the irritated respiratory tract and promotes the removal of stubborn mucus.

• Store your Tordex-LS Syrup below 30°C, in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed to prevent exposure to air.

• Ensure it's out of reach and sight of children.

• If you have bronchitis or other respiratory conditions, avoiding smoking can help manage your symptoms better. Cigarette smoke can irritate your lungs and worsen coughing.
