Tovaxo Eye Drops are used in the management of elevated intraocular pressure in individuals with open-angle glaucoma and for lowering of high eye pressure due to ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of fluid (aqueous humor) from the eye.

Here's how you should use Tovaxo Eye Drops:

• Always wash your hands before using the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back and create a small pocket by pulling down your lower eyelid.

• Hold the dropper above your eye, squeeze out the prescribed amount of drops, and let it fall into the pocket you created.

• Gently close your eyes for a minute or two. Avoid blinking during this time.

• Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface as this could contaminate the medicine.

• After putting it in, always replace and tighten the cap on the dropper bottle.

• If you are using more than one eye medicine, wait at least 5 minutes before putting in another product.

• Use the solution within one month after opening the vial.

Tovaxo Eye Drops contain travoprost (0.004%), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Increases Aqueous Humour Outflow: Travoprost enhances the drainage of aqueous humour, a fluid that maintains normal pressure inside your eyes. By doing so, it helps reduce high intraocular pressure.

• Acts as FP Prostanoid Receptor Agonist: As a prostaglandin analogue, travoprost acts on certain receptors in your eyes known as FP prostanoid receptors. This action helps in relieving elevated intraocular pressure.

• Store Tovaxo Eye Drops in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine out of direct light.

• Ensure the bottle is tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep it out of reach and sight of children.

• Regular eye exercises can help maintain good eye health. Simple exercises like blinking, rolling your eyes in a circular motion and focusing on a distant object periodically while working on a computer can be beneficial for eye health.

• Consuming food rich in Vitamin A and antioxidants can be beneficial. Include food items like carrots, spinach, papaya, almonds, and citrus fruits in your diet to support eye health.
