CompositionTravacom Eye Drops are used to lower raised intraocular pressure in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Combining a prostaglandin analogue and a beta-blocker provides dual-mechanism pressure lowering.
It is a combination of travoprost (which increases aqueous outflow) and timolol (which reduces aqueous production). Use it as prescribed. Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for one minute after instilling to limit systemic absorption of timolol.
Attending all scheduled eye clinic appointments for intraocular pressure and optic nerve monitoring is essential. Long-term use may cause gradual darkening of iris colour or eyelash changes.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any asthma, COPD, a slow heart rate, or heart failure, as timolol is absorbed through the eye. Remove contact lenses before applying and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
