Trenaxa Injection 5ml

Trenaxa Injection is used to control excessive bleeding in conditions such as heavy menstrual bleeding, surgical blood loss, and postpartum hemorrhage. It stabilizes blood clots, helping to prevent severe blood loss and reducing the risk of bleeding-related complications.

Administer Trenaxa Injection as instructed below:

• Ensure the injection site is clean and hygienic before administration.

• The injection should be administered by a trained healthcare professional or under their guidance.

• After administration, discard the used syringe and needle responsibly to prevent infections.

Trenaxa Injection should be administered intravenously.

Trenaxa Injection contains tranexamic acid (500 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Antifibrinolytic Action: Tranexamic acid acts as an antifibrinolytic. This means it prevents the breakdown of blood clots (a process called fibrinolysis), which helps to control bleeding.

• Inhibits Plasmin Activation: This medicine inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin. Plasmin is an enzyme that breaks down blood clots; by stopping its activation, tranexamic acid helps maintain clotting and manage bleeding.

• Store Trenaxa Injection in a cool, dry, and dark place, ideally below 25 degrees Celsius.

• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and keep it away from moisture.

• Keep this medicine out of reach and out of the sight of children.

• If you are using Trenaxa Injection to manage heavy menstrual bleeding, it may be beneficial to include iron-rich foods like spinach, lentils, and lean meats in your diet. These can help replenish iron lost during heavy periods.
