Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It combines olmesartan, amlodipine and chlorthalidone, three antihypertensive medicines, and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attack associated with high blood pressure.
Olmesartan and amlodipine relax and widen blood vessels, while chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps remove excess salt and water from the body. Take it as prescribed, swallowed whole with water, preferably in the morning, with or without food. Continue taking it for as long as advised, even if you feel well.
Reducing your salt intake, staying physically active, and avoiding taking this medicine close to bedtime, as it can increase urination, can help support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or an electrolyte imbalance, before starting. Report persistent dizziness, swelling of the limbs, or very low blood pressure (fainting or severe light-headedness) to your doctor. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
