Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults, particularly when combination treatment is needed, and to help lower the risk of strokes and heart attacks.

Uses of Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet are:

• Hypertension: Helps lower and control high blood pressure.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Helps reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks linked to high blood pressure.
• Combination Therapy: Used when a single antihypertensive medicine is not enough to control blood pressure.

Here's how you should take Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Make sure to take your dose at the same time each day, preferably in the morning.

• Never crush or chew the tablet.

• Don't alter your dose without consulting your doctor.

Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet is taken orally.

Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet contains three active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): As a calcium channel blocker, this ingredient works by inhibiting the movement of calcium ions into the smooth muscles of your blood vessels and heart. This action results in these muscles relaxing and widening your blood vessels, thus effectively reducing your blood pressure.

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): This thiazide-like diuretic increases the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water by your kidneys. By increasing the excretion of these substances, chlorthalidone helps decrease the volume of fluid flowing through your blood vessels, leading to a reduction in blood pressure.

• Olmesartan Medoxomil (40 mg): This angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) specifically blocks the binding of a hormone called angiotensin II to certain receptors in your vascular smooth muscle. By preventing this binding process, olmesartan medoxomil inhibits the narrowing effect of angiotensin II on your blood vessels and reduces the secretion of a hormone called aldosterone which can increase blood pressure. This results in lower blood pressure levels.

• Store Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet at a cool temperature, ideally 25°C.

• Brief changes in temperature between 15-30°C are allowable.

• Keep the container tightly shut, protecting it from light and moisture.

• Ensure you keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Always remember to check the expiry date before use.

• Limit your salt intake. Excessive salt can raise your blood pressure, counteracting the effects of Triolmezest CH 40 Tablet.
