Triopil 2 Tablet 10

Triopil 2 Tablet is to treat with type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Its combination of glimepiride, metformin, and pioglitazone helps control blood sugar by enhancing insulin release, reducing liver glucose production, and improving insulin sensitivity.

Here are some instructions to follow while taking Triopil-2 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important to continue taking this medicine as per your doctor’s advice, even if you feel well.

Triopil-2 Tablet is taken orally.

Triopil-2 Tablet is comprised of three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): As a sulfonylurea, glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin. Additionally, it increases the body's sensitivity to insulin which allows it to function more efficiently.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin reduces the quantity of glucose produced by the liver and absorbed by the intestines. It enhances insulin sensitivity and promotes glucose uptake and utilisation.

• Pioglitazone (15 mg): Belonging to a class of medicines known as thiazolidinediones, pioglitazone improves the body's sensitivity to insulin which enables cells to utilise insulin more effectively. It decreases glucose production in the liver whilst increasing glucose uptake in muscle cells.

• Store Triopil-2 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture.

• Always keep Triopil-2 Tablet out of reach of children.

• Make sure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Since this medication is meant for managing type 2 diabetes, limit your intake of sugar-rich foods and drinks. Stick to a balanced diet that has plenty of fibre and lean protein.

• Regular physical activity plays a vital role in managing blood sugar levels. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise like brisk walking or cycling every week.
