Triz Syrup 60ml

Triz Syrup is used for the following:

• Providing relief from symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, itchy eyes and watery eyes.

• Managing symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria, which includes itchy skin and hives.

Here are the steps to follow when taking Triz Syrup:

• Use the provided measuring cup to ensure you take the correct dose.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Shake the bottle well before using it to mix the syrup evenly.

• After use, tightly cap the bottle to prevent contamination.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Triz Syrup is taken orally.

Triz Syrup contains Cetirizine Hydrochloride (5 mg) which acts on your body in the following ways:

• H1-Receptor Antagonism: Cetirizine is a potent antagonist of peripheral H1-receptors. These receptors are targeted by histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions that cause allergy symptoms. By blocking these receptors, cetirizine helps reduce these symptoms.

• Mast Cell Stabilisation: Beyond just blocking H1-receptors, cetirizine also stabilises mast cells. These cells are responsible for releasing histamine and other inflammatory mediators that can trigger allergy symptoms. By stabilising these cells, cetirizine helps prevent or reduce the release of these mediators.

• Minimal Central Nervous System Effects: As a second-generation antihistamine, cetirizine does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier. This means it has minimal effects on your central nervous system, reducing the likelihood of side effects like drowsiness or fatigue.

• Store Triz Syrup below 30°C in a tightly closed container.

• Keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Ensure the syrup is kept out of reach and sight of children.

• When experiencing symptoms of allergic rhinitis, try to avoid potential allergens such as dust mites, pet dander, or pollen. Keeping your living environment clean may help reduce allergen exposure.

• With chronic idiopathic urticaria, identifying and avoiding triggers such as certain foods or stress might help manage flare-ups. Keep a food and symptom diary to identify potential triggers.
