Tsart 40 Tablet is used for the following health conditions:

• Managing essential hypertension in adults

• Reducing the risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attacks or strokes, particularly in adults over 55 years old, who are at high risk.

The Tsart 40 Tablet contains telmisartan (40mg), which has a specific mechanism of action on the body:

• Blocks Angiotensin II: Telmisartan selectively stops angiotensin II from binding to its receptor in tissues like vascular smooth muscle and adrenal glands.

• Vasodilation: By blocking angiotensin II, telmisartan causes blood vessels to relax and widen, making it easier for blood to flow through them.

• Reduces Secretion of Certain Hormones: The blockage of angiotensin II also leads to a decreased secretion of vasopressin and aldosterone, hormones that can increase blood pressure.
