Unibrom Eye Drops are used in adults following cataract surgery to manage postoperative inflammation and eye pain.

Uses of Unibrom Eye Drops are:

• Postoperative Inflammation: Helps reduce swelling and inflammation in the eye after cataract surgery.
• Eye Pain Relief: Helps ease eye pain following cataract surgery.
• Recovery Support: Reducing pain and inflammation supports comfort during the postoperative recovery period.

Follow these instructions while using Unibrom Eye Drops:

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above the eye with the tip pointing down towards your eye and squeeze out a drop.

• Close your eye and press your finger to the inside corner of the eye for about 1 minute, to keep the liquid from draining into your tear duct.

• If you need to use other eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes before instilling them.

• Remember to always consult your doctor for specific usage instructions.

Unibrom Eye Drops are instilled topically.

Unibrom Eye Drops contain two active ingredients that work together to manage eye inflammation and pain:

• Bromfenac (0.09% w/v): This ingredient is a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase enzymes COX-1 and COX-2. By blocking these enzymes, bromfenac prevents the production of prostaglandins which can cause pain, inflammation and swelling in the eyes. As a result, it helps reduce ocular inflammation and discomfort post-surgery.

• Cetrimide (0.01% w/v): Cetrimide acts as an antimicrobial preservative in the eye drop formulation. It disrupts bacterial cell membranes, causing leakage of cellular contents and leading to cell death. This action helps prevent microbial contamination of the eye drops, providing a safer environment for healing post-surgery.

• Keep your Unibrom Eye Drops stored at a cool temperature, below 30°C.

• Protect the bottle from exposure to bright light.

• Make sure to use the eye drops within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

• To support your eye health while using Unibrom Eye Drops, ensure you include foods rich in vitamins A and C, such as carrots, oranges, and spinach in your diet. These vitamins help maintain healthy eyes.

• If you've undergone cataract surgery, avoid exposure to dust and water in the operated eye for at least a week. This helps prevent any potential infection or damage post-surgery.
