Unicarbazan Forte Tablet 100

Unicarbazan Forte Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of Lymphatic filariasis caused by various parasites
• Control of Tropical pulmonary eosinophilia
• Management of Loiasis

Follow these instructions while taking Unicarbazan Forte Tablet:

• Thoroughly follow the dosage and timing guidelines provided by your doctor for taking this medicine.
• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.
• Avoid discontinuing this medication without your doctor's advice. Always consult your doctor before stopping.
• Adhere to the diet plan recommended by your doctor.

Unicarbazan Forte Tablet is taken orally.

Unicarbazan Forte Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Diethylcarbamazine (250 mg): An anthelmintic medicine used to kill both microfilariae and adult worms. It changes the surface membrane of microfilariae, making them more vulnerable to destruction by your body's immune system. It also disrupts the metabolism of microfilariae and inhibits their release from female adult worms. At higher doses, diethylcarbamazine directly kills adult worms.
• Chlorpheniramine (5 mg): An antihistamine that competes with histamine for H1-receptor sites on cells in your body. This prevents symptoms like itching, swelling and hypersensitivity reactions that may occur when filarial parasites die in your body.

• Store Unicarbazan Forte Tablet at room temperature between 20°C to 25°C.
• Keep the medication away from excessive light and moisture.
• Make sure to keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Always check the expiry date before use and avoid using any expired medicine.
