Urimax 0.2 Capsule 15

Urimax 0.2 Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men.

• Easing difficulties starting urination due to BPH.

• Reducing frequent urges to urinate, especially at night (nocturia).

• Addressing weak urine stream caused by BPH.

• Helping with the feeling of incomplete bladder emptying.

Make sure you use Urimax 0.2 Capsule as follows:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush or open the capsule.

• Take this medicine after a meal, preferably the same meal every day.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.

Urimax 0.2 Capsule is taken orally.

Urimax 0.2 Capsule contains tamsulosin (0.2 mg). The activity of this medicine on the body works as follows:

• Alpha-1 Adrenoceptor Antagonist: Tamsulosin is an alpha-1 adrenoceptor antagonist that targets the alpha-1A and alpha-1D subtypes. These receptors are located in the prostate, prostatic capsule, prostatic urethra, and bladder neck in high density. By blocking these receptors, tamsulosin relaxes the smooth muscles in these tissues, which improves urine flow and reduces BPH symptoms.

• Minimised Risk of Blood Pressure-Related Side Effects: The selective action of tamsulosin on the alpha-1A and alpha-1D subtypes minimises the risk of blood pressure-related side effects compared to non-selective alpha-blockers.

• Store Urimax 0.2 Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in a tightly closed container, away from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure the medication is out of reach of children.

• Always remember to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• As Urimax 0.2 Capsule is used to manage symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), consider reducing your caffeine intake. Caffeine can increase your urge to urinate more often.

• Regular exercise, like walking or jogging, can help improve urinary symptoms related to BPH.
