CompositionUrimax D Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate in adult men. It improves urine flow and relieves distressing urinary symptoms such as weak stream, hesitation, urgency, and frequent night-time urination.
It combines tamsulosin, an alpha-blocker that relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, and dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces the size of the prostate gland over time. Take it by mouth as prescribed, approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Swallow the capsule/tablet whole without chewing or crushing.
Maintaining good hydration, limiting evening liquid intake, and reducing alcohol and caffeine consumption can help improve urinary comfort alongside treatment.
Because tamsulosin can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing up, stand up slowly from sitting or lying positions. Tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, low blood pressure, or are planning eye surgery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant must not touch crushed tablets due to the risk of birth defects in a male fetus. Regularly monitor prostate health as advised by your doctor.
