Urimax DX Tablet is used for the following:

• Helping men with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition where the prostate gland enlarges.

• Alleviating urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate.

• Improving urinary flow in men suffering from BPH.

• Lowering the risk of acute urinary retention, which is an inability to pass urine.

• Diminishing the need for surgery related to BPH.

Keep in mind the following instructions while taking Urimax DX Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, do not chew or crush it.

• It's best to take this medicine about 30 minutes after eating the same meal each day.

• Remember not to exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Ensure you don't stop taking this medicine suddenly without first speaking to your doctor.

Urimax DX Tablet is taken orally.

Urimax DX Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): Dutasteride works by inhibiting an enzyme called 5α-reductase which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is responsible for prostate growth, so by reducing DHT levels, dutasteride helps shrink the enlarged prostate and improves BPH symptoms.

• Tamsulosin (0.4 mg): This ingredient targets α1-adrenergic receptors found in various parts of your urinary system including the prostate and bladder neck. By antagonising these receptors, tamsulosin relaxes the smooth muscles, which enhances urine flow and reduces BPH symptoms such as urinary hesitancy, weak stream, straining, and urgency.

• Keep Urimax DX Tablet in a tightly closed container.

• Store at room temperature between 15-30°C.

• Protect the medicine from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach from children.

• Remember to use it before the expiry date on the package.

• To manage symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), try to maintain a low-fat diet. Consuming fewer animal-based products and more fruits and vegetables can help in managing the condition.

• Regular physical activity, like walking or light exercises, can help improve urinary symptoms. However, avoid heavy straining exercises as they might worsen your condition.
