It also protects liver cells from damage caused by toxic bile acids.
This medication provides a non-surgical option for patients with small gallstones and a functioning gallbladder. The treatment helps improve liver enzyme levels and may slow the progression of liver damage. Because dissolving gallstones takes time, this medication often requires long-term use (several months to a year). Take the tablet with food or milk as directed to ensure the best absorption.
