Valparin 200 Tablet is used to control seizures in epilepsy, manage manic episodes in bipolar disorder and help prevent migraine headaches in adults and children.
It contains valproate (200 mg), an anticonvulsant and mood stabiliser. Take it with food as prescribed; do not stop it suddenly without medical advice.
Attend all monitoring appointments for blood counts and liver function, and all follow-up reviews to support safe treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any liver problems or history of pancreatitis before starting, and about all other medicines. Women and girls of childbearing age must not use this medicine without a pregnancy prevention programme in place. Report any jaundice, persistent vomiting, unusual bruising or new tremor.
