CompositionValzaar 40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and to lower the risk of related problems such as stroke and heart attack. It is also used to manage heart failure and to improve survival after a heart attack.
It contains valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. It can be taken with or without food. Take it as prescribed and continue regularly even if you feel well, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice.
Lifestyle changes support blood pressure and heart treatment alongside this medicine. These include cutting down on salt, eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, staying active, keeping to a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, low blood pressure, or high potassium, or take other medicines. Your doctor may check your kidney function and potassium. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
