Vinicor XL 50 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), angina pectoris (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart), and long-term symptomatic heart failure. It contains bisoprolol, a type of medicine called a beta-blocker.
Take it as prescribed, generally in the morning, swallowing the tablet whole with water. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure and heart failure often have no obvious symptoms. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as this can cause your heart condition to worsen.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active as advised by your doctor, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol intake all support heart and blood pressure management alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma, severe circulation problems, a very slow heart rate, or other heart or lung conditions. Tell your doctor if you notice unusual tiredness, shortness of breath, swelling of the ankles, or a very slow heartbeat. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
