CompositionViscojoy AB Tablet is used to manage chronic respiratory conditions with narrowed airways and thick mucus, particularly chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is a combination medicine containing acebrophylline (a bronchodilator) and acetylcysteine (a mucolytic).
It helps ease wheezing, cough and shortness of breath, and makes thick mucus easier to cough out. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor and continue it for the advised duration.
Drink enough warm fluids to keep mucus thin, avoid smoking and smoky or dusty places, and practise breathing exercises as advised by your doctor.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a heart, liver, kidney or seizure disorder, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if your breathing problems or side effects worsen. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
