CompositionWarf-1 Tablet is a medicine used to prevent and treat harmful blood clots in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and atrial fibrillation. It is also used to prevent blood clot formation following artificial heart valve replacement and to lower stroke risk.
It contains warfarin, an oral anticoagulant. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually as prescribed. Regular blood testing (INR monitoring) is necessary to ensure the dosage remains safe and effective.
Maintaining a consistent diet is important while taking this medicine. Avoid sudden changes in your intake of vitamin K-rich foods such as green leafy vegetables, and limit alcohol consumption, as these can affect how the medicine works in your body.
Inform your doctor of all other medicines, supplements, or herbal products you take, as warfarin interacts with many substances. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience unusual bleeding, prolonged bleeding from cuts, unusual bruising, dark stools, or severe headache. It is not suitable during pregnancy.
