Wysolone DT 20 Tablet is a steroid medicine used to treat severe inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, including acute asthma flare-ups, severe allergic reactions, rheumatoid arthritis, and kidney disorders like nephrotic syndrome. It helps reduce tissue swelling, pain, and immune system hyperactivity.
It contains prednisolone, a corticosteroid. As a dispersible tablet (DT), dissolve it completely in a small glass of water before swallowing, preferably in the morning after breakfast. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as your doctor will guide you to gradually lower the dose to prevent steroid withdrawal.
When on corticosteroid therapy, maintain a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D to support bone health, keep sodium intake low to prevent fluid retention, and monitor blood glucose levels if advised.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, osteoporosis, or active infections. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding. Avoid contact with individuals who have contagious infections like chickenpox while taking steroids.
