Zenflox Oz Tablet 10

Zenflox-OZ Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, respiratory system, and ear, nose, and throat. It is also prescribed for skin, bone, joint, and pelvic infections and may be used to prevent infections during colorectal and gynaecological surgical procedures. The medicine works by eliminating infection-causing bacteria and supporting recovery.

Here's how you should take Zenflox-OZ Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing it.

• It can be taken with or without food as per your doctor's advice, typically twice daily at 12-hour intervals.

• To ensure proper absorption, take this medicine at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after consuming any other medications containing iron, zinc, magnesium or antacids.

• For optimal results, take this medicine at evenly spaced times and complete the entire prescribed course. Don't stop taking it even if your symptoms vanish after a few days; this could allow the bacteria to keep growing and possibly cause a relapse.

Zenflox-OZ Tablet is taken orally.

Zenflox-OZ Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): As a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, ofloxacin works by inhibiting enzymes called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV in bacteria. These enzymes are essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By blocking these enzymes, ofloxacin effectively halts bacterial multiplication and growth.

• Ornidazole (500 mg): This nitroimidazole antibiotic penetrates into bacterial cells where it gets reduced to reactive intermediates by cell extracts. These reactive intermediates bind to bacterial DNA inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis which ultimately leads to bacterial cell death.

• Keep Zenflox-OZ Tablet in a dry place at room temperature, between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.

• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're managing urinary tract infections or similar conditions with Zenflox-OZ Tablet, keep yourself well-hydrated. Regular intake of water helps flush out bacteria from your urinary system.

• Remember to replenish lost fluids and salts. Include in your diet foods rich in potassium like bananas and oranges, and sodium like broth-based soups.
