Zenflox-OZ Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, and pelvic region. It is also used as a preventative measure during gynecological or colorectal surgeries to ensure a sterile recovery and eliminate harmful bacteria.

Here's how you should take Zenflox-OZ Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing it.

• It can be taken with or without food as per your doctor's advice, typically twice daily at 12-hour intervals.

• To ensure proper absorption, take this medicine at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after consuming any other medications containing iron, zinc, magnesium or antacids.

• For optimal results, take this medicine at evenly spaced times and complete the entire prescribed course. Don't stop taking it even if your symptoms vanish after a few days; this could allow the bacteria to keep growing and possibly cause a relapse.

Zenflox Oz Tablet 10 composition contains Ofloxacin (200 Mg) + Ornidazole (500 Mg) as its active ingredients.

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): As a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, ofloxacin works by inhibiting enzymes called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV in bacteria. These enzymes are essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By blocking these enzymes, ofloxacin effectively halts bacterial multiplication and growth.
• Ornidazole (500 mg): This nitroimidazole antibiotic penetrates into bacterial cells where it gets reduced to reactive intermediates by cell extracts. These reactive intermediates bind to bacterial DNA inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis which ultimately leads to bacterial cell death.

• Keep Zenflox-OZ Tablet in a dry place at room temperature, between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.

• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.
