Zerodol Spas Tablet 10

Zerodol-Spas Tablet is prescribed for the relief of symptoms associated with:

• Abdominal pain and gastrointestinal spasms
• Dysmenorrhoea (painful menstrual periods)
• Renal colic and biliary colic (pain from kidney stones or gallstones)

This medicine is indicated for short-term symptomatic relief and should only be taken under medical supervision.

• To use Zerodol Spas Tablet effectively, follow these steps:
• Take the tablet with food.
• Swallow it whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break it.
• If the medicine is prescribed for a child, administer it according to the paediatrician's instructions.
• Consult your doctor for specific advice on dosage and duration of treatment.
• Do not alter the prescribed dosage without medical guidance.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but do not double up on doses.
• Do not use for more than the duration prescribed by your doctor; prolonged NSAID use without supervision may affect kidney or stomach health.

Zerodol Spas Tablet is taken orally with food, swallowed whole with a glass of water, and should not be chewed or broken.

Zerodol-Spas Tablet combines two complementary mechanisms:

• Aceclofenac (100 mg): NSAID / COX inhibitor: Selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins - the inflammatory chemicals that sensitise pain receptors and cause tissue swelling. This provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) effects.
• Drotaverine (80 mg): Antispasmodic / PDE-4 inhibitor: Inhibits phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE-4), increasing intracellular cAMP levels in smooth-muscle cells. This reduces smooth-muscle contraction in the gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary tracts, directly relieving cramps and spasms.

Together, these agents address both the inflammatory pain component and the spasm component, making Zerodol-Spas effective where a single analgesic may be insufficient.

• Store Zerodol-Spas Tablet below 30°C in a cool, dry place. 
• Protect the medicine from light and moisture by keeping it in its original packaging.
• Keep the product out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
• Use Zerodol Spas Tablet before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging to ensure its effectiveness.
• Do not store in a bathroom medicine cabinet. Humidity from bathing can degrade the tablet coating. Discard any unused tablets after the course is complete.

• Maintain a healthy and balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
• Stay hydrated by drinking an adequate amount of water throughout the day.
• Avoid foods that may trigger abdominal pain or discomfort, such as spicy or fatty foods.
• Engage in regular physical activity like walking or yoga to improve digestion and reduce abdominal cramps.
• Practice stress management techniques like deep breathing exercises or meditation to relieve stress-related abdominal pain.
• If using Zerodol Spas Tablet for your child, consult their paediatrician for specific recommendations.
• For patients using Zerodol-Spas for IBS-related cramps, a low-FODMAP diet during treatment may help reduce recurrence of spasms. Discuss dietary modifications with your gastroenterologist.

• Take Zerodol Spas Tablet with food to avoid stomach upset.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew or break the tablet.

• Avoid alcohol while taking Zerodol Spas Tablet.

• Do not take Zerodol-Spas Tablet with another NSAID (e.g., Ibuprofen, Diclofenac). Doubling up on NSAIDs significantly increases the risk of stomach bleeding.
