Zifi-O Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections including typhoid fever, respiratory tract infections and urinary tract infections. It helps clear the infection and relieve associated symptoms such as fever, pain and discomfort.
It contains cefixime, a cephalosporin antibiotic, and ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Take it with food to reduce stomach upset, exactly as prescribed, and complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing, to help prevent the infection from returning and reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.
Staying well hydrated and getting adequate rest can support your body's recovery while taking this medicine. Maintaining good personal hygiene, particularly if you have a urinary tract infection, can also help reduce the risk of the infection returning.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any allergies to antibiotics, kidney problems, or other medicines you are taking. Contact your doctor if you notice severe diarrhoea, unusual bruising, or joint pain and swelling, particularly in children. It is not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor.
