Zocon-T Kit Tablet is used to treat vaginal yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, and certain intestinal infections caused by fungi, bacteria, or parasites.

Uses of Zocon-T Kit Tablet are:

• Vaginal Yeast Infection: Treats vulvovaginal candidiasis caused by fungal overgrowth.
• Bacterial Vaginosis: Controls overgrowth of harmful bacteria in the vagina.
• Trichomoniasis: Treats this sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite.
• Intestinal Infections: Manages giardiasis and amoebiasis caused by parasites.

Zocon-T Kit Tablet contains three tablets, one tablet of fluconazole (150 mg) and two tablets of Tinidazole (1000 mg). Here is how they both work together:

• Fluconazole (150 mg): As a member of the triazole class of antifungals, fluconazole works by inhibiting an enzyme called 14α-demethylase in fungi. This enzyme is crucial for converting a substance known as lanosterol into ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. When fluconazole interferes with this process, it disrupts the structure of these cell membranes and stops the growth of fungi.

• Tinidazole (1000 mg): This antibiotic belongs to the nitroimidazole class. Tinidazole enters microbial cells and undergoes reduction via a specific enzymatic system within these cells. The reduced form of tinidazole then damages the DNA within these cells and hinders their ability to synthesise nucleic acids, the building blocks of DNA. This disruption leads to cell death in susceptible organisms.

• Store Zocon-T Kit Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.

• Keep the product away from excessive light and moisture.

• Make sure to keep it out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and avoid using past this date.

• If you're taking Zocon-T Kit Tablet for a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis, consider incorporating probiotics into your diet. These can help restore healthy bacteria in your body. Foods rich in probiotics include yoghurt and fermented foods like sauerkraut and kimchi.

• Avoid consumption of alcohol while you're taking this medicine and for at least three days after your last dose. Alcohol can interact with the medication, leading to unpleasant side effects such as nausea and headache.
