Zoryl-M2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control blood sugar levels by increasing insulin release and improving insulin sensitivity when used along with diet and exercise.

This medication should be taken with food and swallowed with a glass of water. 

Do not crush or break the tablet.

• Zoryl-M2 Tablet composition contains two active ingredients, Glimepiride and Metformin, which work together in different ways to lower blood glucose levels.
• Glimepiride belongs to a class of medications known as sulfonylureas, which stimulate the pancreas to produce and release more insulin. This helps reduce blood glucose levels by increasing the amount of glucose transported from the bloodstream into the body's cells, which can be used for energy. 
• Glimepiride binds to specific receptors on the pancreatic beta cells, leading to insulin release. This mechanism of action is dependent on the presence of glucose, meaning that Glimepiride is more effective when blood glucose levels are high.
• Metformin, on the other hand, is a biguanide that works by decreasing the amount of glucose produced by the liver and increasing the sensitivity of cells to insulin. It also helps slow down glucose absorption from the intestine into the bloodstream. This means less glucose is available in the bloodstream, lowering blood glucose levels.
• Metformin also has several additional effects that can be beneficial for people with type 2 diabetes. It can help to reduce body weight, improve lipid profiles, and lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. These effects are believed to be due to activating an enzyme called AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), which is crucial in regulating cellular energy metabolism.
• Zoryl-M2 Tablet stimulates insulin release from the pancreas and reduces the amount of glucose the liver produces. It also improves insulin sensitivity and slows down glucose absorption from the intestine. These effects work together to lower blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

• Store Zoryl-M2 Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C), away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Keep the tablets in their original packaging until ready to use.
• Keep Zoryl-M2 Tablet out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not store Zoryl-M2 Tablet in the bathroom or other humid areas.
• Check the expiration date on the packaging before taking the tablets. Do not take Zoryl-M2 Tablet that has expired.
• If you have unused or expired Zoryl-M2 Tablet, dispose of them properly. Do not flush them down the toilet or throw them in the trash. Instead, consult a pharmacist or local waste management agency to dispose of them properly.

• Engage in physical activities like cycling, walking, jogging, dancing, or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes daily. Aim to spend at least 150 minutes each week on exercise.
• Keep your body weight in a healthy range, as obesity increases the risk of developing diabetes.
• Follow a low-fat and low-sugar diet. Replace foods high in carbohydrates with whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, as carbs can raise blood sugar levels.
• Refrain from consuming alcohol and quit smoking.
