Kevon Stay On Lotion is used for the following purposes:

• Management of athlete's foot, a fungal infection affecting the skin on the feet

• Control of jock itch, a fungal rash in the groin area, inner thighs and buttocks

• Reduction of ringworm symptoms, a fungal infection that can occur on any part of the body

• Management of seborrheic dermatitis, a skin condition causing scaly patches and red skin

• Control of pityriasis versicolor, a fungal skin infection causing small, discoloured patches

Ensure you use Kevon Stay On Lotion properly as follows:

• Shake well before use.

• Cleanse and dry the affected areas thoroughly before applying.

• Spread a thin layer of the lotion over the affected areas as directed by your doctor.

• Gently massage it into the skin until fully absorbed.

• Wash your hands carefully after each application.

• Do not apply it on open wounds or broken skin.

• Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice.

Kevon Stay On Lotion contains Ketoconazole (2%). Here's how it works:

• Interrupts Ergosterol Synthesis: Ketoconazole blocks a particular enzyme (lanosterol 14α-demethylase) in the fungi. This enzyme plays a crucial role in making ergosterol, which is an essential component of the fungal cell membranes.

• Destabilised Fungal Cell Membranes: With ketoconazole interrupting the production of ergosterol, the fungal cell membranes become unstable and porous. This causes leakage of cellular contents, leading to the death of fungal cells, and helps in managing the infection.

• Store Kevon Stay On Lotion in a cool, dry spot below 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Ensure the tube is tightly closed after each use to prevent air exposure.

• It's important to keep this medicine out of reach of children.
