Other Medications to Avoid With This Medicine

• Alfuzosin + Dutasteride may interact with potent inhibitors of cytochrome P4503A4 (such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, and ritonavir), other alpha-blockers (like prazosin and tamsulosin), and erectile dysfunction medications (such as sildenafil and tadalafil).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Alfuzosin + Dutasteride may result in severe hypotension (low blood pressure). If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical help.
• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve after stopping this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• To manage dry mouth, stay well hydrated, chew sugar-free gum, or suck on sugar-free hard candies.
• If the medication causes insomnia, avoid taking it close to bedtime.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Alfuzosin + Dutasteride can cause dizziness, especially when starting the medication. Therefore, caution should be taken when driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Alfuzosin + Dutasteride is not recommended for use in women. It can pose significant risks to a developing foetus when used during pregnancy and is therefore contraindicated.

Caution in Other Conditions

• People with a history of liver disease should be cautious while using this medication due to the potential for increased side effects.
• Caution is also advised for individuals known to have orthostatic hypotension (a sudden fall in blood pressure when standing).
