CompositionDapefy-S 10/100 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults when diet and exercise alone are insufficient. It is a combination medicine containing dapagliflozin and sitagliptin, and belongs to the classes of SGLT2 inhibitors and DPP-4 inhibitors.
This medicine enhances the effects of diet and exercise and is suitable for people who do not respond adequately to metformin alone or to the individual components. Dapagliflozin increases glucose elimination through the urine, while sitagliptin enhances insulin release, together helping regulate blood sugar levels. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
A balanced diet, regular physical activity, staying well hydrated and keeping the genital area clean and dry support blood sugar control and help reduce infection risk alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, or a history of pancreatitis, before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor immediately if you notice deep, laboured breathing, nausea or unusual tiredness, or if you develop severe and persistent stomach pain. Report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
