Glimisave MV 3.3 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when treatment with fewer medicines does not control blood sugar adequately.
It contains glimepiride, metformin and voglibose. It is a combination of oral antidiabetic medicines that work in different ways, including improving the body's response to insulin, reducing the glucose made by the liver, and slowing carbohydrate absorption after meals. It is usually taken with food. Continue taking it regularly even when you feel well.
Eating regular balanced meals, limiting sugary foods and drinks, staying physically active and maintaining a healthy weight all support diabetes management alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems or other medicines you take. Because it can cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), learn to recognise warning signs such as sweating and shakiness, and keep a fast-acting sugar source with you. You may notice gas or bloating, especially when starting treatment.
