Gluconorm G2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes. It helps improve blood sugar control by stimulating insulin release from the pancreas (Glimepiride) and reducing glucose production in the liver while improving peripheral glucose uptake (Metformin). This combination helps maintain consistent blood sugar levels and provides long-term support for diabetes management, contributing to overall metabolic stability and a healthier lifestyle.

• Swallow the Gluconorm G2 Tablet whole with a glass of water or milk.
• Do not crush or chew the Gluconorm G2 Tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Take the Gluconorm G2 Tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication. 
• Do not change your Gluconorm G2 Tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Gluconorm G2 Tablet composition includes two active ingredients, Glimepiride and Metformin, which help manage type 2 diabetes.

• Glimepiride (2 mg): Glimepiride belongs to the sulfonylurea class of medicines, which works by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin. Insulin is a hormone that moves sugar from the blood into the body’s cells for energy, helping to lower high blood sugar levels
• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin, which belongs to the biguanide class, reduces sugar production in the liver, improves how muscles and fat cells respond to insulin, and decreases sugar absorption from the gut. This helps the body use insulin more effectively and keeps blood sugar under control.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Incorporate foods with low glycemic index, such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains, berries, citrus fruits, chia seeds, bitter gourd and extra virgin olive oil.
• Avoid deep-fried foods as they can produce high amounts of toxic compounds, promoting inflammation and increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes. 
• Limit your intake of processed and high-sugar foods, which can cause spikes in blood sugar levels.
• Avoid refined sugar intake in any form. Instead, use natural sweeteners such as stevia, sugar alcohols, yacon syrup, allulose, and monk fruit sweeteners.
• Engage in regular physical activity, which can help improve insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control.
• Quit smoking, as smoking can increase the risk of complications associated with diabetes.
• Watch your sodium intake and not exceed it beyond 5g per day to avoid heart conditions with diabetes.
