Isryl-M2 Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Insulin and other anti-diabetic agents: If taken together with Isryl-M2 Tablet, these medications can increase the risk of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar). Examples include insulin glargine and insulin lispro.
• Thiazide diuretics: Medicines like hydrochlorothiazide may decrease the efficacy of Isryl-M2 Tablet and lead to hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar).
• Corticosteroids and sympathomimetic agents: These medications, for example, prednisone and pseudoephedrine, can increase blood glucose levels when taken with Isryl-M2 Tablet.

Isryl-M2 Tablet should be taken with your first meal of the day. As it helps manage your blood sugar levels, consuming high-sugar foods or drinks while on this medication may affect its effectiveness.

Isryl-M2 Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Renal impairment: If you have kidney disease, Isryl-M2 Tablet may require dose adjustment or discontinuation based on your creatinine clearance levels.
• Hepatic impairment: As glimepiride, one of the active ingredients in Isryl-M2 Tablet, is metabolised by the liver, dose modification may be needed if you have liver disease.
• Type 1 diabetes mellitus and diabetic ketoacidosis: These conditions are contraindications for Isryl-M2 Tablet. This medicine is not suitable for patients with these diseases.

The daily dose of Isryl-M2 Tablet should be as prescribed by your doctor. Your dosage may be adjusted based on factors such as your response and the severity of your condition. Always consult your doctor before changing the dosage.

Taking more than the prescribed dose of Isryl-M2 Tablet can lead to increased side effects like hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and gastrointestinal disturbances like nausea. Should you suspect an overdose, inform your doctor immediately.

If you forget to take a dose of Isryl-M2 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never double up on doses without consulting your doctor.
