Linaxa D 5/10 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly when blood sugar is not adequately controlled by diet and exercise alone. It helps lower blood glucose levels and, with regular use alongside appropriate diabetes management, may help reduce the risk of long-term complications of diabetes.
It combines dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, and linagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food, as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as this medicine controls but does not cure diabetes.
Following a controlled-carbohydrate diet, staying well hydrated and maintaining good genital hygiene can help reduce the risk of urinary and genital infections associated with this medicine class. Regular blood sugar monitoring and physical activity also support treatment.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, a history of urinary tract infections, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report symptoms of a urinary or genital infection, such as burning on urination or genital itching, promptly to your doctor.
