Linaxa D 5/10 Tablet is used for:

• Improving blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes

Linaxa D 5/10 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): As a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, dapagliflozin works by blocking the reabsorption of glucose in your kidneys. This action leads to an increase in the excretion of glucose through your urine, helping to lower your blood glucose levels.

• Linagliptin (5 mg): Classified as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, linagliptin works by increasing the levels of incretins in your body. Incretins are hormones that regulate glucose metabolism. By increasing their levels, linagliptin helps to inhibit glucagon release (a hormone that raises blood sugar levels), increase insulin secretion (a hormone that lowers blood sugar levels), slow down gastric emptying, and thus help to decrease your blood glucose levels.
