Voglinorm GM Forte 2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults. It combines glimepiride, metformin and voglibose, three antidiabetic medicines, and is prescribed when single or dual-medicine treatment has not adequately controlled blood sugar levels.
Glimepiride increases insulin release from the pancreas, metformin reduces the amount of sugar the liver produces, and voglibose slows the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut, helping to manage both fasting and after-meal blood sugar levels. Take it with food as prescribed, and swallow the tablet whole without crushing.
Following a controlled-carbohydrate diet, eating meals at regular times, and taking part in regular physical activity can help keep your blood sugar levels stable alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or if you drink large amounts of alcohol, before starting. Report symptoms of low blood sugar such as sweating, shakiness or confusion, and seek urgent care for unusual tiredness, stomach pain, or fast breathing, which can be signs of a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
